Strategy 2026-2030
During the first half of 2025, the board and staff of Disability Sport Yorkshire (DSY), and a specially formed Strategy Working Group composed of senior representatives from DSY, Activity Alliance, Yorkshire Sport Foundation, North Yorkshire Sport and Active Humber, engaged BoroLeigh Limited to lead the organisation through strategic planning. The objective being to provide high-level guidance for decisions and operational direction for the CEO and senior management to develop and implement operational strategies and action plans.
Following in-depth research via analytical surveys undertaken by the board, staff, team, strategic partners and participants, and leveraging research already undertaken in the field, DSY considered, and sought to define, the purpose, vision, mission, values, overarching strategy and organisational priorities of the organisation. The research included a review of organisational strengths and challenges, as well as consideration of threats, opportunities and the potential effect of external influences, such as political, economic, social, legal, technological, and environmental factors.
