Activities Leader/ Co-ordinator, Bradford


Are you a qualified sports leader with an outgoing personality?

Disability Sport Yorkshire is looking to recruit one, possibly two enthusiastic sports leaders to co-ordinate and deliver a programme of activities for adults with a learning disability.

Activities will range from indoor multi-sports, to adventurous outdoor activities, provided by external partners.

We are looking for a dynamic, friendly leader who has a variety of Leadership Awards, and is able to adapt to the different levels of abilities of the service users.

Sessions will be run on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am – 3pm, plus occasional other hours, in Central Bradford, and at other local venues, starting in September 2016, for 1 year.

The Co-ordinator will consult with service users to gauge their interests, plan and implement a programme of varied sports and leisure activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an appropriately qualified sports leader to lead and implement an innovative programme.

This position would suit someone with a broad range of level 1 qualifications.

Level 2 Qualifications, and experience of working with disabled people is desirable.

DBS certification will be required.

It is likely that this opportunity will lead to other similar work in this field across Yorkshire / Humber.

£15 – £18 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
