Kate Allatt to speak at Opening Doors Kirklees Workshop
The Opening Doors Kirklees Project, in partnership with The Holmfirth based “Square Pegs” Activity Group, is delighted to announce a two hour workshop, led by inspirational speaker, Kate Allatt. Kate, who is a survivor of a Brain Stem stroke, is an experienced Speaker, her recent experiences including BBC Radio 2 Jeremy Vine show, and conferences to the NHS. http://www.kateallatt.com/
Kate will be running a workshop to inspire people with disabilities/ long term conditions, their families and friends.
Kate is an active campaigner supporting people in the recovery from stroke. She challenges ideas, and policies, but most of all gives encouragement and belief where it may have been lost.
This workshop is free of charge (voluntary donation to the Square Pegs Activity Group), but as demand is expected to be high, booking is essential.
The workshop is suitable for people with disabilities, mental illnesses, long term conditions, Carers, Care Providers, Support Groups, Council and Health organisations and NHS staff.
