Get Inspired to Be Active – sharing the learning from Get Set to Go
On the 8th February, Mind staff who deliver the Get Set to Go sport and mental health programme will be running a free half-day workshop at the Friargate Quaker Meeting House in York to share insight and learning from their work. The session is ideal for any mental health organisation who is keen to:
- Work with different stakeholders and access new funding streams.
- Promote their services to new audiences.
- Support service users to be more active and, in doing so, build their confidence and capacity to get more involved in community activities.
- Provide popular activities within existing services and venues.
The events will draw upon the experiences of those already working in this space, and are designed for service managers, business development colleagues and staff currently developing or coordinating physical activity sessions.
Each delegate will receive a copy of a toolkit, which will expand on the content in the workshops. Up to four organisations will also be able to access mentoring support from the local Minds and the sport and physical activity team at Mind.
