CP Sport Swimming Development Gala – Sheffield – 26th June 2016

CP Sport Swimming Development Gala – Sheffield – 26th June 2016

Please see below details of the Development Gala in Sheffield on Sunday 26th June. This opportunity will be open to swimmers of all ability levels with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities. Swimmers do not need to be a member of a club to enter and we encourage entries from all swimmers ranging from those in lessons to those who have experience of competitive events. Floatation aids and helpers in the water are welcomed where required.

CP Sport will deliver the Development Gala to give competition opportunity to children/adults with cerebral palsy or a physical impairment and to allow swimmers to experience a relaxed introduction to competitive swimming. There will also be opportunity to find out about local disability swimming opportunities and pathways. Races are swum over 10/25/50m with a choice of strokes, but don’t worry if a swimmers strokes aren’t recognisable, everyone is welcome! All races will have heats and handicapped finals. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each final, and all participants will receive a certificate.
