Over two years ago we undertook a wide ranging consultation across Yorkshire. We asked disabled people, sports providers, partner organisations and other stakeholders what they believed our future role should be. The response was overwhelming and clear.
You said that we should………..
- Champion disability sport by providing specialist knowledge and expertise.
- Provide leadership and co-ordination of all opportunities for disability sport, maximising all available resources and developing more pathways to participation.
- Develop coaching, volunteering and community leadership with and for disabled people, raising awareness, creating new opportunities and strengthening support for disability sport.
- Develop partnership working with key agencies by working closely with not-for-profit, statutory and commercial providers to ensure inclusion and equality for disabled people in sport.
We have put together a strategic plan encompassing the four key priorities and set out our main work objectives to achieve this. ‘Champions of Inclusion’ sets out our commitment and goals for the next four years.
We need your help to achieve this!
